Eduardo Serón

Born in Rosario, Santa Fe, in 1930.

He studied Architecture at Universidad Nacional del Litoral and attended painting courses.
​In the 1960’s, he connected to groups like Refugio and Taller. He was Titular Professor of Painting at Escuela Provincial de Artes Visuales and Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Architecture, National University of Rosario. He has also served as Secretary at Rosa Galisteo de Rodríguez Fine Arts Museum (Santa Fe) and Director at J.B. Castagnino Fine Arts Museum (Rosario). 

He made individual and collective exhibitions at galleries, cultural spaces and museums of Argentina, América and Europe, like Museo de Artes Visuales Sor Josefa Díaz Clusellas, Santa Fe (1958 and 1961); Museo Provincial de Bellas Artes Pedro E. Martínez, Paraná (1961); National Museum of Fine Arts of Santiago
de Chile (1969); Sívori Museum (1981); J.B. Castagnino Fine Arts Museum (1981); Rosa Galisteo de Rodríguez Museum (1990); Centro Cultural Parque de España (2004); Castagnino+Macro Museum (2009), etc.
​Among the many prizes and distinctions he has received are: Drawing First Prize, Salón de Amigos del Arte, Rosario (1961); Acquisition Prize Martín Rodríguez Galisteo, XLV Salón del Museo Provincial de Bellas Artes, Santa Fe (1968); Scholarship, X Salón de Becarios de la Dirección de Cultura, Santa Fe (1968); Acquisition Prize, Banco Municipal de Rosario, Primer Salón de Premiados, Salones de Arte Moderno de Amigos del Arte, Rosario (1972); and Dr. Carlos Corbella Prize, Héctor I. Astengo Foundation (1994).

His works are included in collections from Argentina, Spain, France, Uruguay,Chile and United States.

He lives and works in Rosario.
