Mimi Laquidara


Born in Concordia, Entre Ríos, in 1989.

Bachelor and Professor of Fine Arts, graduated from the Faculty of Humanities and Arts, National University of Rosario. She took part in the Artists’ Program, Torcuato Di Tella University, coordinated by Mónica Girón.

She made exhibitions in fairs, galleries and cultural spaces of the country, like arteBA, Isla Flotante Gallery, Fondo Nacional de las Artes, Castagnino+Macro Museum, Osde Foundation, La Toma Gallery and Centro Cultural Parque de España, Rosario, among others. In 2010 she was selected by La Herrmana Favorita

to participate in Seminario de Profesionalización de Artistas with Ernesto Ballesteros, Rafael Cippolini and Julia
Converti. The following year she was given a scholarship by Banco de Entre Ríos to attend an art clinic with Rafael Cippolini. The Nuevo Banco de Santa Fe Foundation and Fondo Nacional de las Artes gave her scholarships to attend seminars and workshops. She was selected for Premios Itaú Cultural and Proyecto A, where she got a special mention (2012). She was selected for the Curadora residency, in San José del Rincón, Santa Fe (2016). Among the prizes she received are: Prize, Fondo Nacional de las Artes, Salón Nacional de Rosario (2014) and shared First Prize, Concurso Municipal de Fotografía, organized by Editorial Municipal de Rosario (EMR). As a result of the last one, her book Esculturas was published (2016). She received a Mention at
Salón Museo Rosa Galisteo de Rodriguez, Santa Fe (2017).
Her work deals with different media, such as photography, installations, drawing and video.

She lives and works in Rosario.
