Mariana De Matteis
Born in Villaguay, Entre Ríos, in 1984.
Bachelor of Fine Arts, graduated from the Faculty of Humanities and Arts, National University of Rosario.
She attended art clinics with Rafael Cippolini, Pablo Siquier, Eva Grinstein, Roberto Echen and Silvia Gurfein. She made solo exhibitions in national and international museums and cultural spaces, such as, Osde Foundation, Rosario (2017); Rosa Galisteo de Rodriguez Museum, Santa Fe (2014); Centro de Expresiones Contemporáneas, Rosario (2013 and 2015), Hangar Center, Barcelona (2014); Espacio de Arte Contemporáneo, Montevideo (2013); and Pasaje Pam, Rosario (2009).
She has been part of many collective exhibitions.
She received scholarships from Goethe Institut, Fondo Nacional de las Artes, Nuevo Banco de Santa Fe
and Nuevo Banco de Entre Ríos. She did a residency at Hangar Center, Barcelona (2014) and was part of
the residency Mayo (URRA),Buenos Aires (2015).
She has been awarded with several prizes, like: Stimulus Prize DNHM, Salón de Mayo; Rosa Galisteo de Rodríguez Museum, Santa Fe (2016); Prize for Young Artists, Fundación Nuevo Banco de Santa Fe (2014).
She was Finalist at Premio Fundación Medifé Arte y Medioambiente, Buenos Aires (2016) and Mention in Premio Lucio Fontana, Consulate of Italy, Buenos Aires (2016) and was part of Premio Itaú de Artes Visuales (2015-2016), Premio Fundación Williams de Arte Joven (2015), Premio Fundación Andreani a las Artes Visuales (2013-2014) and Currículum Cero, Ruth Benzacar Gallery, Buenos Aires (2008).
She lives and works in Rosario.
