Pauline Fondevila

She was born in 1972 in Le Havre, France.

She studied Literature and Art in Le Havre, Paris and Lyon. She was a resident artist in Hangar, Barcelona, before settling in Argentina in 2007. Her versatile work mainly involves drawing and words.

She has exhibited her work in many museums and art centers, such as Palais de Tokyo (Paris), MUSAC (León), CGAC (Santiago de Compostela), Artium Museum (Vitoria), CRAC (Sète), Haroldo Conti Center (Buenos Aires), Macro Museum of Contemporary Art (Rosario), Genaro Pérez Museum (Córdoba), MOCA (Shanghai), and in Diego Obligado Art Gallery since 2015. She has participated in numerous national and international art fairs.

She has published the novels ‘Una casa y un tambor’ (2014) and ‘Cinco días en Colón’ (2018) with the publishing house Ivan Rosado. She is part of the music band Perro Fantasma. Her piece ‘The Promise by the Sea’ was presented in MOMENTUM 10: The Emotional Exhibition, in the Nordic Biennial, curated by Martí Manen.

Her works are part of numerous private and public collections, such as FRAC Rhône-Alpes, Regional Contemporary Art Fund (France); FRAC PACA, Regional Contemporary Art Fund (France); FNAC, National Contemporary Art Fund (France); CGAC, Galician Center of Contemporary Art, Santiago de Compostela (Spain); La Panera Collection, Lleida (Spain); Nou Art Collection, Barcelona (Spain), Artium Museum Collection, Vitoria (Spain); Corsica FRAC, Regional Contemporary Art Fund (France); Castagnino+Macro Collection (Argentina).

She lives and works in Rosario.
