Eduardo Serón

He was born in 1930 in Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina.

He studied Architecture at the National University of the Litoral, and attended mutiple painting courses.

During the 60s, he worked with the groups Refugio and Taller. He was Head Professor of Painting at the Visual Arts School in Rosario, and Associate Professor at the Faculty of Architecture, National University of Rosario. He has also served as Secretary at Rosa Galisteo de Rodríguez Fine Arts Museum (Santa Fe) and as Director at

Castagnino Fine Arts Museum (Rosario).

He had solo and group exhibitions in museums and galleries in Argentina, America and Europe, such as Sor Josefa Díaz y Clucellas Museum, Santa Fe (1958 and 1961); Pedro E. Martínez Museum, Paraná (1961); National Fine Arts Museum, Santiago de Chile (1969); Sívori Museum, Buenos Aires (1981); Castagnino Fine Arts Museum (1981); Rosa Galisteo de Rodríguez Fine Arts Museum (1990); Parque de España Cultural Center, Rosario (2004); Castagnino+Macro Museum, Rosario (2009); Diego Obligado Art Gallery (2012 and 2019).

Among the prizes he received are: First Prize for Drawing, Amigos del Arte Salon, Rosario (1961); Acquisition Prize Martín Rodríguez Galisteo, XLV Fine Arts Salon, Santa Fe (1968); Scholarship, X Salon of Culture Department, Santa Fe (1968); Acquisition Prize, Bank of Rosario, Modern Art Salon by Amigos del Arte, Rosario (1972); Dr. Carlos Corbella Prize, Héctor I. Astengo Foundation (1994); National Achievement Prize, National Culture Department (2019).

His works are part of collections in Argentina, Spain, France, Uruguay, Chile and USA.

He lives and works in Rosario.
