Diego Vergara

He was born in 1980 in San Lorenzo, Santa Fe, Argentina.

In 2004 he obtained a degree in Art with a specialization on Painting from the National University of Rosario, from which he also graduated as a professor in 2006. Since 2005 he has undertaken diverse professional art studies.

In 2008 he obtained the Castagnino Foundation Mention in the National Art Salon of Rosario; in 2010, the Grant for Young Artists from the New Bank of Santa Fe Foundation; in 2012, the Grant for Federal Artists from the National Arts Fund.

In 2016 he obtained the First Acquisition Prize in the LXX National Art Salon of Rosario at Castagnino+Macro Museum, and in 2018 he obtained the First Acquisition Prize in the XI National Painting Salon of the Central Bank of Argentina.

Since 2005 he has participated in many group and solo exhibitions in different private and public institutions, such as Dabbah Torrejón Gallery, Ruth Benzacar Gallery, Foster Catena Gallery, Rivoire Art Space, Recoleta Cultural Center, Borges Cultural Center, Castagnino Museum, Diego Obligado Art Gallery.

He lives and works in San Lorenzo.
